perth

Last wee I was in Perth for a "quick" working trip.



"Quick" means two days (and 1 night), 4 hours in the plane, and a lot of talking, planning and discussing, all of which I'm very pleased of



I even had a couple of hours to have a walk in the City, early in the morning





It was a great day, with a fresh wind!



I went to parks







and visited a very nice museum, where I chatted with nice people and learned quite a bit of things.



It's the old court-house of Perth





I did a bit of window shopping





Had a good breakfast







dreamed of nice food



And had a great dinner with new friends and colleagues, but no photos of that, as we were to busy chatting!

good things are hard to leave

Hopefully we will be able to keep up with good habits today :-)!

last sunday

Oh, the joys of pre-programmed posts!

Last sunday we had a great day.



The start wes a bit grey



and wet. But it soon cleared up and we headed off to visit dear friends.



On the way to there there was plenty to see and discover



The menu was excellent: cotolette!!!



Table is ready



Go!



Sombody even had a good after lunch nap...



While we were chatting and discussing and thinking. What a blissful afternoon!



We even managed to escape the evening storm on the way back



and enjoyed a great sunset from our balcony

I wonder what all this means....



BUT I definitely LIKE this!



So, not to miss the moment, we will be away for a week starting tomorrow. Stay tuned....

Considered that in Italy the 6th of december is the last day of Christmas holydays, either because the re Magi finally arrive to destination, or because "la befana tutte le feste si porta via", it's now time to have a visual summary of new year's eve!



We headed to the center a bit late...



Didn't get lost ;-)



braved HUGE crowds



and finally found a shielded spot from where we could enjoy the fireworks (not the best view photographically, but still a good reachable spot!







It was really great, we then walked home and had a nice glass of proper moscato (it was really hard to find a sweet sparkling, here they all refer dry (brut)).

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

another lunch

This time we headed to K, in a wonderfully blue and crisp air, with the perfect temperature.



We crossed some new (to us) sburbs





with interesting curiosities



and found a little heaven, a fantastic garden and an house with a verandah where we had an incredible meal.





But the best was staying with friends, and chatting freely about work, life, experiences and friends. A great lunch and afternoon spent in wonderful company.







On the way back we had an adventurous crossing of the Merry River



and had a nice tram ride, with a nice, final message to be found.
