A trip to Puglia - Barletta

We visited Barletta for a good morning, we could have stayed quite more, but the wedding was that same afternoon!

corner view - mineral

Today's post finds me quite busy and unable to develop the subject as I would like. So many things to do, and so many things I could write and show, given that this is my thing, after all I'm a geologist.

#94 - An interesting or unusual rock

I don't lack for sure good photos of minerals, but not too many in my hands now. So I'll leave you with some not so good photos of rocks (and minerals, of course) as they appear under a polarising light microscope in thin section: a world of colors, forms and wonder I adore to explore and read (yes, dear friends, part of my job is understanding what is the story that rocks tell, and they can be very talkative once you know how to interpret them!).
