It's great to be back to corner view after a month full of hospitals, fears, miracles, sadness, joy, ...

and much, much more

...

by the way, it's 29th of february, as once in 4 years!!!
And I'm visiting dad with my brother, of which I'm so happy for!

february is almost finished!

I cannot believe it, but hey, at least it is warmer and days are getting longer.

almost there...

Maybe we are starting to see the end of the tunnel....

another scarf

it seems I'm back to knitting in full force!
It's probably he many hours spent at hospitals, and the fact that I'm so tired in the evening that all I can do is just knit some rows.
So here we have a new scarf



It's a simpe brioche stitch scarf, knitted using self striping yarn.
The great thing is that now I know how to knit brioche!



And it's no mistery that I love stripes!

slowly back to normality and a new hat

We are getting slowly back to normality, our ill people (two at two different hospitals, not bad eh?) are getting better, and besides the super-extra driving to visit all hospitals, all is really getting back to manageable routine. Work is back full-force, and I'm always tired, but hey, I manage to cut out also a bit of resting time. And knitting, of course. Besides a huge secret project not mentionable here, I have cranked out several smaller pieces.



This is Christopher by Jane Richmond (Rav link). I love it for many reasons:

- it is reversible;



- it has double thinkness;
- it has stripes!



- it fits perfectly;



- and it was stolen immediately by P who is using it quite a lot in this bitter-cold weather of ours (but it seems it'sgetting a bit warmer.....

I used 4.5 mm needles (circular) and some wool I found in Nizza sometimes ago (dorothée Jogging, acrylic - alpaca - mohair mixture) and I bought because I had forgotten all knitting at home....

This year I have signed up to the destash group and so far so good, I'm consuming a lot of yarn (but for sure I'll catch up at the first Grignasco sale, so I should work harder... ;-)!).

A cowl

Here is another of my finished objects, a cowl for R: winter is approaching and cicling around can be cold!

It's knitted in Patons Australia Jet, casting on 90 stitches with 4.5 mm needles.



It's going to be warm, and luckly R liked it!
