Some weeks ago I was at my mum's and it was a wonderful day!



I decided for a walk along the lake side



life was buzzling



and I made many encounters



mainly of the flying type!



but not only!







Just a free hour and so many things to see!

receiving the sea at your doorstep

Some days ago (se yesterday's post) I received a nice package in the mail.
It brought me a lot of happiness, and a real luxury: the seaside at my step, its scent, its texture, and the laughter of three friends conjuring up a nice surprise for someone far away!

corner to corner

Two days ago I received something in the mail that excited and moved me so much!



I was waiting for an envelope, and I received a huge box! It is part of the corner to corner, "a circle of giving and receiving where Joanne's tenugui goes from one person to another, starting with Jane and ending back with Joanne, wrapping a small gift of some kind.  (Please read here for more details)" as beautifully explained here by Francesca from Fuoriborgo.


I have always been a super fan of paper mail, and sending things and messages, so when I read about the corner to corner I jumped in. 
I have also always been fascinated by the communications you can have with distant soul mates from around the world.





You can imagine my surprise and delight when I opened and found that Heather has been so kind and thoughtful, really sending me emotions that are still working (more about this tomorrow, in a special post about the sea....). Thank you Heather!!!!


I was also moved by the sight of all the notes from everybody, I felt I was having in my hand a string connecting good people from around the world!

A couple of weeks ago....

After a couple of week being away for work, here I am back to corner view, hosted by Francesca here at Fuoriborgo!



grass can be so green




and with lots of flowers!

Oropa

Last week, while working in the field with students, we stayed a couple of nights at the Oropa sanctuary.



It's a huge, beautiful building up in the mountains. And it is part of the UNESCO sites (so this post qualify also for my life list! See in the bar above!).



on the first morning, before leaving to the mountains, I had the time to take some pictures



before refilling my bottle.





The day was fantastic,



we even had time for a quick breakfast



and then headed up to Monte Mucrone, to fantastic views and rocks







and we even had some very interested and nice guests following the lesson with interest and curiosity!

working summer

For us, summer is a working period. The weather is finally warm and snow melts.
I was in th field for a few days, and here are some memories.
First day was spent around Como lake.

found wonderful rocks



and enjoyed incredible views!
