it's finished

So it's finished, bye bye 2012, you were quite demanding, but all you can do always is to get what comes with as much grace as possible, solve the problems or digest them, and try to go on. Which we all did, and in the end it was quite a lucky year, all considered.

But I'm happy it is finished, I'm happy to close it, and say adieu. No much blogging lately, nothing about our travels, it was simply too much to be handled, but plans are, as always, to be back to good habits. So in the next days I'll try to trace a summary of 2012, to let all of this go, and try to start anew with 2013. After all everything is up to us.

The last day of 2012 has been excellent! I went to swim, I had a great coffee and pleasantly chatted about interesting things, I worked a bit, I baked a cake



We ate it at lunch with a good friend.
The afternoon was spent resting and planning and doing the things I love



In the evening we had a great time with dear friends



eating



and laughing and...



feeling loved, and happy, and relaxed, and trusting, and cared of, and caring for



Hallo 2013, hope we will get well together, and I think my little word for you will be along the lines of "dare"! More soon....

another month

I can't believe another month has passed since my last post!
How is that possible? But then I think to all what happened, and I understand why it flew s fast.
It's almost Christmas, I'm back to Australia, it's summer, and I'm working hard AND enjoying myself with friends! And what an year.

But to come back to the last months, we have been traveling quite a bit.
We were in Paris, to catch up with dear friends and with the city, that I always miss....





And I was in the mountains, and back and forth to Milano, in the day or night





I went to meetings



I worked so hard, and was often very tired, so that I wore mismatched socks



but still had the energy to note the small beautiful details



We had great family meetings, a bit of sadness and great joys.
The computer died



but now I have a new one!

And I'm more than ready to keep on going, and, possibly, chronicle the journey a bit more regularly!



Oh, I was forgetting, I also knitted a ton of things!

And we have arrived safely!!!!!

As I promised, i'm trying to write here a bit more, and get back to the good habits.

Life has been exceptionally FULL of things and happenings, no tragedies or bad things, just being busy in tring to juggle eerything. There were some hard moments at work (surprise, surprise), and emergencies to deal with in the family, but all in the usual framewok, nothing really "new".

But first of all I want to warmly thanks all the people who left encouraging and happy comments, which lifted my spirit AND made me smile a lot! Thank you, really, dear readers and friends. That's said, I'll try to summarise the last month AND then get back to the usual knitting and photographic posts. Because there has been much going on in this month!

A lot of waking up early



Working till late



Driving and moving (I have developed this new habit of waking up somewhere in the morning without knowing where I'll be sleeping the next night, but all this is not bothering me, as I have plenty safe spaces waiting for me!).



We had a wonderful travel (work related, but not only)



And visited very good friends. And rest a bit



or at least tried!

New, exciting things are on the orizon, and I'll cronicle them properly soon. In the next days there will be also the knitting update!!!!

After a little silence, here I am back again!

It has been quite a changing year for me, all about "growing" in many senses.
I have grown some skills, and some inner energies I didn't know. It is quite tiring but also rewarding.

One of the things I would have always liked to do is to learn drawing, and now I'm practicing a bit, and my confidence has grown enough to show you some of my doodles!

During this August I decided to finish several things that were hanging there, sometimes for years like this one.
I feel so well finishing things, it's like lifting away a little burden..... And this one was a special one, as it had made it in my life list!



By the way, it wasn't much work, and it really is beautiful. And now it is already with its owner, who has been waiting for SO long. Thanks for the patience, mum!!!!
